Two items related to the Internet Ray Tracing Competition:

1.  The comments from the July-Auguest round are now available for
viewing.  They are linked from the www "comments" page, and are in a
subdirectory named "comments" under the round's ftp directory.  Comments
are welcomed at any time, although we still have not automated their
posting yet.  Soon!

2.  Many people have asked us how the POV-Ray team's withdrawal from the
Internet will affect the competition.  At this point, we do not expect
any disruption of the competition due to the POV-Ray team's decision. 
The competition admin team is separate from the POV team, and the POV
team has decided to continue their support for the competition. 
Specifically, competition uploads are unaffected by the upload hiatus on
the rest of the povray.org ftp site.
