===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Gave you higher score for concept after read your intro. Nice idea. The ball doesn't appear to knock down the house, but to cause it to fly apart in all directions unnaturally. ===== From agage@mines.edu: Castle: revisited. Actually, this round was particularly satisfying because some of the animations from last round were redone and significantly improved. You also have the honor of having the longest animation this round. This one is quite good. The modeling, background, and lighting are still simple, apart from the construction of the castle. However, having an actual plot is great. The process of building the thing (over and over) also shows how intricate the model is. Impressive. Glad to see you could fit all those frames under the limit :) ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Nice little story. The bouncing ball in the beginning looks like it is shot in slow-motion, though. ===== From chrisj@digiquill.com: Cute... seeing the little house in the big castle. Tipping over the house could have been done better... Have you heard of AERO physical kinematics whatever system? The mirror you described can be accomplished by scale <-1,1,1>, which is equivalent to your matrix ===== From quinet@gamers.org: Good idea. But do you really have cyan bricks in your set of LEGO bricks? I don't remember seeing bricks of that color. The animation would have been easier to follow if each phase started where the previous one ended, instead of starting each view with an empty plane. It is a bit disturbing to see the castle re-built three times from different angles. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Lots of excellent lego construction. Though, the camera work didn't live up to all the work that went into doing the legos. Also, the building up of the legos got to be a little repetative. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: I'm afraid this anim just spun by way too fast for me. It runs so fast, you don't get a chance to really enjoy what's happening. While technically difficult to create, it suffered artistically as a result. ===== From r@smsq1.comm.hq.af.mil: Showing the bricks moving into place would hav made this better. ===== From r@159.134.245.19: I have not viewed this one because the description and the poster did not appeal to me. ===== From r@dial-up40.webbernet.net: An improvement over the previous Lego entry. Unfortunately, some more work on composition and camera angles is needed. Unlike many entries, there is a story, although not a very logical one. The scene with the house exploding is important to the story and should not just be rapidly dragged offscreen. There is no need to show every brick being added. That part gets too repetitive. Finally, the climactic scene where the fort repels the evil green ball should be a closeup, not a long shot. There is no real need to show the whole fort through thatt sequence. Perhaps start at a distance and zoom in, following the ball in at a suitable angle.
