===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Good lighting. Very realistic. Tells a great story. It's not clear that human figure is in any way related to cop car. ===== From agage@mines.edu: The level of detail is very good -- things like the broken hubcap on the back wheel of the police car make a difference. The sparks from the "dragon" are well done. The motion of the objects, especially the spooked policeman, is very good. The hands, however, seem to be either too bloated or miscolored, and some of the camera stops are jerky. Very nice overall. ===== From chrisj@digiquill.com: Good modelling work, especially on the hand. I would have liked to see the area lights, the hand looked to "zebra-striped." Best realism, good story. ===== From quinet@gamers.org: Very nice animation & modeling. It is a pity that you did not have the time to render the animation with an area light for the sun, because the shadows are a bit too sharp, especially on the hand moving the police car. With an area light, this animation would have been excellent. But even without it, this is a very good animation. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: I find this animation strangely compelling. The up and down movement of the police officer was exactly on target - it's just the way I played with my toys too! The whole scene is a wonderful slice of child's play, great job! Oh, I should say something more critical too.... let's see: the human hand was a little off, better hands would help I think spatch is a good tool for creating organic forms like hands. Also, the "cuts" or camera changes were a bit jarring at times and the ending was sudden. Better directing(?) would have helped. ===== From kentdj@revealed.net: Wow! This would be awesome with sound - a child's voice acting out some of the sounds and the sounds of the toys. Good job! As for constructive comments - I agree that the area light would have been better if time had allowed. The shadows from the window blinds were a little harsh. Perhaps a little higher ambient setting would have helped (?) Also, there's a *little* too much gap between the thumbnail and the fleshy part of the thumb. It's only noticable when the hand is moving the "cop" toy. ===== From r@smsq1.comm.hq.af.mil: The animation is a bit jerky in places. ===== From r@159.134.245.19: Not selected for viewing based on the poster and description. I favoured the other ones I commented on although I realise I might have missed something. ===== From r@dial-up40.webbernet.net: Ambitious, audacious and well done. Good attention paid to the background. Actually told a story. Blob modeling was excellent. Putting the hands of the player in was nervy, and accomplished quite well. I liked the smoothness of the motion and acceleration. The dragon sparks were a nice touch. Very, very good. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
