HARDWARE USED: Pentium 133 ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: The animation shows two toy cars racing around a minature version of the famous Monaco grand prix circuit. VIEWING RECOMMENDATIONS: This animation should playback at 24 fps. I reccomend Vmpeg to view the animation. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: All objects and textures used were created specifically for this animation, The duvet and the main part of the f1 car's body were created in sPatch, everything else has been hand-coded in Pov-ray. All textures are also hand coded, and no image files were used for the textures. No post-processing for the animation or the movie poster was used. Everything needed to render this animation yourself has been included except the lensflare include file. The animation all runs from one main file. The track and the car's movement are created by listing different include files which describe the different properties of each track piece. The list of pieces for the moncao layout was found on the internet at http://cygnus.uwa.edu.au/~snowmanf/pages/slottrack.html The dimensions for the different pieces were also found on this site. The track peices, barriers and start gantry are based on a popular 1/32 scale slot racing system.
