===== From jasondinger@hotmail.com: really liked this one. the way the monkeys "fade" in was really good. the animation of the catapult is really good. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Very nice. The modelling is well done and shows imagination and humor. Unlike many entries in this and past rounds, the fades are well done and fairly original and fit well with the concept without taking up too much time. The special effects with the leg grower and the cloner were very good, also. I like the way you interpreted the final clause of the rules. Very clever. The referee (or whatever) shows a surprising amount of personality for such a simple figure with such limited screentime. The motion within scenes is smooth, although some point of view transitions are choppy. Some good little detail, specifically the leg waving downed players at the end. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This certainly is an original interpretation of the theme..... If I had one criticism, it would be that this is too frenetic. It doesn't really stand on its own, but requires the text for explanation. Thic could be fixed, for example, by including text between the scenes. You could even show an open copy of HGTTG with the words highlighted.... Even just a screen with the text shown would help. This has a lot of potential to be really funny.... it just needs a little more to make it a standalone package. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: + I like the transitons between the scenes - Another, more irregular, grass texture would be good instead of the plain green. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Good fun, contains a lot of goofy special effects I never have to try now because I've seen you do it. Why did the referee drive a truck through the wall which killed players with a laser? I don't get it? ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Great concept/interpretation. I really liked it. On the technical side, the swing weapon (I don't know the name for such a thing in English) that throws sporting equipment in the air and the equipment thrown are pretty well designed technically speaking. It must have been the centre of the work. Although I am no expert at making animations and I realise this must be hard, the movement for walking in this animation is just not realistic at all and does not catch the eye appropriately. On the artistic side, a wider use of textures might help enhancing the scene tremendously. Also much of it happens too fast, so it is hard to know what's going on in there. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Ah, Douglass Adams, I should have know - the animation seems so bizarre until you read the description. ..and, I guess even then it's bizarre, but at least it's funny. ===== From r@pa-ppp31.hevanet.com: The animation was great, but I didn't 'get' a lot of the story line Notable for modelling ===== From r@proxy.cowan.edu.au: If it was made to be understood, I cannot. Good sequences, not so crash hot on the content though Notable for lighting ===== From r@207-172-73-182.s182.tnt1.man.erols.com: I had a great deal of trouble trying to figure out what was supposed to be happening. ===== From r@proxy.mch.sni.de: very nice idea. nicely weird although ... I like it. Notable for modelling, originality ===== From r@kol44.kauhajoki.fi: Butt ugly but at least it is too bizarre for me to understand and that's worth a few points. En tajua!
