===== From jasondinger@hotmail.com: granted dominoes are a game, but in this animation they are being used as a toy, not as in playing a game of dominoes. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Very good detail on the room, pretty good modelling. Barely on topic. The title dominos were a minimally used side detail of the pointless and irrelevant bomb story. This would have been better in a "Bizarre Inventions" category. I really like the airplane walls. You need to learn to edit. The title sequence and the ball's trip down the pipe were both far too long. They could actually have been cut entirely without loss. This would have freed a lot of bandwidth to do something with the dominos. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This is close to being a really strong entry!!! The "storyline" is very clever -- the transformations involved during the way add a lot of interest. And some of the modeling is quite good. However, there is a little bit which holds it back. Some of the rendering is a bit flat -- it has a "Moray" look to it. Also, the motion tends to be a bit irregular, rather than following physics -- it is like the ball is being pushed against a viscious medium rather than falling through vacuum, for example. Also, some of the camera motion is similarly irregular.... this is especially true near the end. The finish is clever, however. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Very good. The camera motion is good, as are most of the textures and models. To make the file smaller, I probably would have cut down on the initial stuff instead of increasing the compression. ===== From warwick@troll.no: Long and boring introduction. I thought it was a parody, as introductions are often a bit excessive on IRTC animations, IMHO. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Superbly realistic bedroom: floor, wallpaper, plants, ceiling. Kind of a fun-realistic which is much more palatable than an annoying perfect photo-realism. Impressive LENGTH of animation for so small a file! ===== From PovRayGuy@aol.com: Slightly disjointed. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: That is overall very nicely done. The only bit I really would criticise is the very unrealistic bouncing of the ball, a bit more about respecting physics would help make this more realistic. If reality is not the intended feature then a more obvious unrealistic movement should be chosen. In the comments the author apologises for his poor english, there is really no need to, this competition is not about language skills but graphics and animation. I think Christof expressed himself clearly enough to be understood - if you wish to correct something, look at your verbs and add an 's' when the subject is the third person of the singular. The only artistic criticism I have to make is that the lighting is too dark and I really highly dislike having to turn my monitor's brightness to max, it really hurts my eyes. I like keeping the brightness of my monitor very low, unfortunately that does not agree with this animation. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Lots of great scenes, but overall they don't seem connected very clearly. Why is there a bomb in the room? Still, the tunnel, the bedroom, the dominoes, and the various action shots are all very pretty. Good logo too! ===== From r@pa-ppp31.hevanet.com: This was nice until the bomb showed up. Notable for textures, lighting ===== From r@proxy.cowan.edu.au: Camera movement was rather erratic. And some sequence a little confusing but good use of lighting and creating an atmosphere Notable for originality, composition, lighting ===== From r@207-172-73-182.s182.tnt1.man.erols.com: I didn't look at the larger .mpg you included, and I'm probably not the only one. The three meg limit exists for a reason. ===== From r@proxy.mch.sni.de: You may want to use cuts. One single camera shot for such a long anim normally tends to dazzle the viewer, as it's a lot harder to understand what's going on. ===== From r@kol44.kauhajoki.fi: Deja vu.
