===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: I like the idea, but I'm not sure how well it was realized. I've played with programming neural nets, I've seen the Lego Mindstorm attempts, I've made Kheperas run around; I guess I expected to see more of an emergent social behavior from all of the relatively simple interactions between the robots (such as some kind of flocking). As it is, it is difficult to tell what, if any, goals the robots have by their motion. However, I do like the idea, and the work put into realizing that idea produced good results. The last segment, where it pans out from the robots, is probably my favorite part of the entire animation. ===== From manorton@jps.net: I love the behavior. Looks very natural ===== From dlauer@optonline.net: The Neural network idea is very cool. However, without reading the text, I would not have seen it. I found the wheel "skidding" distraction. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Very creative approach. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: I like the style of this, especially the end scene. Some more detail on the bugs, to make them look more interesting, could have been nice. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Nice movement, looks like a "real place". Doesn't tell a story. ===== From ldnbruce@flash.net: Interesting concept, boring animation ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Very impressive use of neural net. I especially liked how the nose-wheels turned as the bug changed direction. I kept expecting them to spell something out at the end. ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: You might want to use a ground texture that shows the goal points for the various robots. Additionally, the wheels of the robots do not appear to be rotating. This would be a simple enough feature to add to the robot macro. ===== From file: Looks like they are moving on a salt lake. Let me guess: they are solar driven? Notable for lighting ===== From file: The movement is nice and feels like bacteria growning or something, but I was hoping they would spell something when the camera pulls out. Maybe you could have arranged them to form a word at the start and let them move about and play the movie backwards?
