===== From dearmad@sapere.com: I like wwi air stuff- RB2 3d is a great game... ===== From english@spiritone.com: The animation works well, the ground looks okay for a starter, but the sky could use some work. ===== From gsingelm@acm.org: nice planes, interesting ground, some glinks in the storyboard ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very nice aircraft models, and I like the directing. Could perhaps have used slightly more realistic physics, though you've got your work cut out when you try to animate something real. Very impressive for a first attempt. ===== From lou_bruce@yahoo.com: Nice first entry. The planes needed to more more realistically. They seemed to do a lot of rolls for no apparent reason. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: I like it. Nice effort. Good airplane models, except for the "flat board" propellers that only move to three positions! Looks like you spent more effort on reproducing accurate airplane movement than on cinematic drama. Example: the head-on shot of the gun firing, where nothing moves in the frame except the propeller (overwhelming the tiny gun flashes) could be much improved by moving the camera towards the side and zooming in dynamically on the blazing gun. Good story, marred at the end by not showing the reason for the downfall: some bullet holes, smoke, damage, or torn-off debris. Look at mschase.mpg in this competition for examples of close-ups intercut with the action.
