MPGFILE: sword.mpg RENDERER USED: 3DS Max 3.1 TOOLS USED: My school's copy of 3DS Max, Video Mach CREATION TIME: Month or so working on it about 3 hours a week at school HARDWARE USED: My school's lab of Celeron 300 MHz ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: A sword is puled out of it's scabord by some invisible force and chops a fruit in half. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: The trees are from 3Dup.com's (www.3Dup.com) database of free models, everything else was modeled by me. The sky is just a sphere with a map and some self-ilumination applied to it. The sun lense flare was done with the video-post of 3DS Max 3.1. The juice in the fruit particle system that has 500 meta particles. All the reflections and refractions in the scene are raytraced using 3DS Max's raytraced material property. The rendering was done on my school's computers hooked togeather in a render farm. The individual frames were put togeather into an mpeg using an evaluation version of VideoMach (www.gromada.com).
