Aside from the detail on the Earth, the scene lacks detail.  I can see a very
dim starfield (I dont' know if the dimness is caused by encoding the images into
an mpeg.), which would have looked better if it was brighter and denser.  The
"metaplosion" looks okay, but I isn't that spectacular as a fireball. 
Everything being a sphere creates an artificial look.

The edge of the graphic that was wrapped around the planet is fairly obvious.
