ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: 

The ordinatographe is an heteroclite assembly of objects from the beginning of
the 20th century,
maybe found in an house's attic, by 5 garden's dwarves.
They decided to awake to this machine. 
A fisherman dwarf, a  dwarf with a lamp, a dwarf with a flower pot, a dwarf with
a shovel and a dwarf with a pickaxe. 
The first computer made by dwarves...
To do what, to see what ? A sexy girl on the web... Betty Boop ?
Made of : The keyboard of a typewriter,
the read/write of the data is done on a tape of perforated pasteboard like the
mecanics pianos.
The mouse is a Morse's manipulator.
An old watch with broken glass. 
The table and the pedals of an old sewing machine.   
The screen is an ancestor of the cathode ray tube
(in 1879, G Crookes identified the electrons, in 1897, JJ Thomson the cathode
rays). 
Decoration is inspired by installations of Hector Guimard,
architect and cabinetmaker of the school of Nancy-France (famous for his 1900
entrances of the Paris subway). 
The picture on the wall is the cover of a specimen of the french newspaper
"figaro" in 1903.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: 

This animation was carried out in a traditional way.
At the beginning, I've searched for documentation on the differents mechanicals
parts. Normally, it's supposed to work.
I wrote the scenario and the storyboard with precise timing.
Then Modeling of the various elements in polygons, and texturing, based on real
documents of the beginning of the 20th century.
Many test of the skeleton's dwarves, they have the two hung legs sets.
Animation and rendering of 22 scenes, then assembly and soundtracking.
