===== From maal-irtc20030115@anthrosphinx.de: The balls representing the characters were a good idea. I'm unsure about the use of the soundtrack. It's definitely the source of almost half of the impact the video has, but may cause copyright problems? ===== From evilsnack@hotmail.com: JV: This anim makes no sense without the narrative. Also, the balls don't bounce in a natural way, and having them pass through other solid objects hurt your score as well. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very good texturing, particularly on the school (inside and out). The concept is very well thought through, and it's been realised well. The choice of balls seemed a little strange, until I saw the students literally bouncing off the walls, then it all made sense! :) ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: The rules state that rating that the soundtrack shouldn't be included in the rating. This makes the animation rather slow, because there are many points where it seems to be waiting for the voice to stop talking. On the other hand, this really shows a journey, and puts it in an original context. Especially the first class room sequence is quite well done, the anger seeps out. Some of the later sequences suffer from clear mpeg encoding artifacts that could've been avoided if the sound track had been deleted and everything would've been a bit faster. ===== From pterandon@yahoo.com: I must give you raspberries for the fact that the next time I had an hour of detailed, meticulous labor at work, I had this professor's voice droning in my head like a song you cannot get rid of ;-). Surely a most unique story line about a journey. Likable if not technically ambitious. ===== From jps6860@yahoo.com: I like this animation more without the sound. I'm sure a lot of work went into creating the voice over, and while it is good I think it is a bit of a distraction. I think the animation does a great job at conveying its story without the sound. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Oh the miserable doggerel! If I still had teeth I would have been gnashing them! If the soundtrack was supposed to count in scoring I would have needed negative numbers. No real story. I don't count random fx as education or story advancement. The thought balloons looked more like ice slicks. I don't think the balls worked well at all, especially against the more realistic scenery in the first part of the anim. The unsolid window was a poor idea too. The classroom and the area outside the school wasn't bad. I hope you don't actually teach the discipline by intimidation method. This would have worked much better if the "students" were actually being taught something, not taken on an acid trip.
