===== From evilsnack@hotmail.com: A better concept than most. One problem with checkered surfaces is that they don't compress well; that probably drove the small image size. ===== From jps6860@yahoo.com: A wonderful take on the topic ruined by a vomit inducing camera. The animation invites the viewer to take in all the details but with the camera constantly spinning it is really hard to focus on the objects, especially the mountains and clouds. ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: This does what it sets out to do and looks good towards the end, as you would expect, but the whole thing is very depressing. It shows that there has been NO evolution in ray-tracing. People are STILL just making photorealistic pictures of spheres on checkered planes. You introduce movement in the scene half way through, but the camera has been flying round since the beginning. I think the introduction of movement would have more impact if the camera was still in the beginning and only started moving as the objects move. How about an ASCII art version of the scene at the beginning? ===== From file: Nice interpretation of the theme. Camera made me dizzy.
