ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: 

A tribute to the 'Berlin Marathon' 2005. Of course, they did not have to run in
the orbit...
The second part of the animation symbolises the way to the finish line at the
'Brandenburger Tor'.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: 

The runners are self-made blob objects. In order to make them running, a lot of
sinus and cosinus functions have been combined, with some extra 'randomizing'
to make each runner moving unique.
The Earth is a isosurface with a texture consisting of a texture map. An
additional sphere gives the ocean.
The sun is also an isofunction with some transparency for the rays.
The other objects are simple combinations of boxes and spheres.
