This image has been produced for this competition. It represents a Aerograph Sprite airbrush, which is a very usefull tool. The image is created by Wiek Luijken, who is studying industrial design engineering in Delft, the Netherlands. The tools I used to create this image are: - GUM (0.89 registered version, you should all buy it, it's great, it's fantastic, it's brilliant, it's even better, it's getting better than 3D-STUDIO and Lex (the creator of GUM) is a friend of mine) - Polyray 1.8, which I used for quick rendering. It's a very fast raytracer, but has some problems with Unions. - POV 2.0, which is quite slow compared to Polyray, but gives some very nice results in the final image. The whole project took me about 15 hours modelling time and a lot more rendering-time. The final image at 1200 * 900 took 8 hours on a dx2-50 with 16Mb ram. Although I should mension that the 16Mb isn't needed at all. The POV-scene is about 250Kb and has 370 objects. I started the 20th of november but didn't have eneough time to really complete the whole interior of the airbrush because of hardware problems. You know, you buy a nice network card with all these nice little IRQ's and DMA's, and guess whatt, there is a conflict. But which of the 5003244 adresses is it??? I still haven't got a clue, so a lot of my time since the start of this project has gone into my computer (which isn't anything different for me) and ofcourse into playing doom on the network (the times that is does work, together with the Ultrasound Max). My e-mail adress is wluyken@stud.io.tudelft.nl I'm always willing to have a nice e-mail conversation or answer some questions, or get some work. Even better, give me lot's of money so I can buy a Pentium !!! My home adress is : Kloosterkade 208 2628 JJ Delft The Netherlands tel: 015-624142
