===== Hey, I'm a Stevens' too and I love 2001, I'm also in the comp. Congrats on a great scene!! ===== Nice connection truss in the middle. ===== Very good image, but the ligthning & textures are quite simplistic ===== Looks just like i remembered it! ===== Time keep's moving, but this picture seems frozen 20 years back !! ===== well, nice image, but i had hoped for more. ===== I like this one. It's doing something! ===== I think you found a good lighting for this scene. Especially not lighting every detail of the spaceships is very brave especialy if one has put much work in them. The composition is good IMO. ===== nice, but next time submit fewer shots - just pick the best one or two, but no more. Your works looks nice, but it's getting old. ===== Needs more interesting textures for ship material. The flat gray is boring. ===== Lighting!!! ===== Had to give high interpretation of theme: 2001 has to be the mother of all space sci-fi. Technical merit was a tough call. It was increased somewhat by not using any modellers. However, there seem to be too many light sources: Where exactly is the sun? Way too much ambient light: good for us to see the ship by, bad for realism. ===== Very good image! Suggestions for making it even better: - add a planet in the background to add more depth to the scene. - turn on the lights in the cabin of the main ship. ===== Impressive. Must have been rather tricky to do it without a modeller. ===== Deserves to win just because he did it by hand ===== very good realisation but not too original ===== A great representation of a very boring ship. ===== This image rules! ===== I like the pod alot. One thing on the main ship that would have been nicer is that on the main sphere you have a texture, however it looks washed out, it would have been nicer to see a little more contrast here. ===== Nice star field. Finish on the ship looks too white. Good composition, well balanced. Texture of the sphere is very nice. ===== ===== Great-looking scene. Excellent work on the modelling. ===== Excellent models! Kubrick could have used these
