===== Pretty ===== THis has got to be the best looking image from Polyray I have ever seen. ===== The ribbon is nice and so are the grey jagged mountains. ===== Could have be a good idea ===== I really like the ribbon and the height fields. ===== With this scene, you can't help but be curious about what these creatures are/ The ribboned ball exudes a feeling of alieness, and the use of two height fields to create the mountains was novel. ===== It's just a little too colorful. ===== Wow! a Polyray entry! Looks very good, the sky especially, and I like the use of two HFs...haden't thought of that one ===== Cool quadropule pointed csg blue-and-yellow thing. ===== Really liked your mossy ground. ===== This is a very nice looking image, but what is it? I'm often wary when people start putting together random objects and calling them "dreamscapes" or "journeys in the mind" or something. Usually that's just a thin cover for gratuitous assemblages of neat objects. I'm all for dreamscapes, but with the caveat that they require more artistic attention than ordinary images. Dreams are, in many ways, themselves a product of an inner artist attempting to express something to the conscious mind. This could lead to some VERY interesting artistic renderings, but only if the artist is very careful about what goes into the image, what each piece means, and how each piece relates to each other. What is the theme of this dream? What does it reflect about the dreamer? ===== Thank you for not sending any spaceships . ===== I agree, we don't need more ships. But what are these? ===== Did you try using povray textures for the HF's ?? They could have been a bit "swirlyer" I think ===== Nice to see some people going beyond the blatantly obvious subject. There's a disturbing black 'tick' to the left of the ball/mind. ===== Brilliant sky. ===== Not bad. It still looks like basic objects but I know the're not. ===== A much-needed break while looking at all the space ships. ===== Very Nice. ===== This looks more like surrealism than alien landscapes. ===== Would have been great !! The small 'object' spoils it sadly ===== Very interesting image, nice work on the ribbon model nice color use. ===== Nice concept. Yellow texture looks too 'close' compared to the mountain terrain. Clouds are too hard-edged but nice. Some ground fog would have help this alot. ===== Not too technically advanced, but I love the idea. ===== The model was created by CSG calculations which is pretty heavy job to do, and I am sure author took lots of time to make this picture perfect. One question.. I don't think I see the connection of this picture and "Science Fiction". ===== That ribbon thing is awesome! ===== The colors of the sphere/ribbon object (which seems, to me, to be the "curious" object) were very successful; but the (lower right) blue object (which is actually the object being represented as the center of interest) is too brilliant-blue relative to the other colors... ===== Good concept, nice execution. Love the bright colors. Scene is a bit grainy, but I think that's just polyray. Another good book-cover image.
