TITLE: Glass Primitives NAME: Gautam N. Lad COUNTRY: Canada EMAIL: gautam@interlog.com WEBPAGE: http://www.interlog.com/~gautam TOPIC: Glass COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: gnlprimi.jpg ZIPFILE: gnlprimi.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray v3.01.msdos.wat-cwa, TOOLS USED: Mid Night Modeller v2.10 (MNM v2.10), POV-Ray v3.01.msdos.wat-cwa, LView v3.1 (.TGA to .JPG Conversion, Copyright text), and OS/2 Warp for rendering (Truly the best operating system when it comes to MULTI-TASKING). :) RENDER TIME: 3 hours 29 minutes 14.0 seconds (12554 seconds) HARDWARE USED: 486 DX2 50MHz with 8MB of RAM (Computer) IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Story behind the image: Not much. It just illustrates some of the basic primitives (3-D shapes) POV-Ray (and many other renderers) can produce/render, and uses the glass texture. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I modelled the image in MNM, and then manually created the textures for the shapes. The image is pretty basic, but neat looking! This is my first rendering involving Radiosity, and I have found the results to be just amazing. /*--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Glass Primitives -- Copyright (C) 1997, Gautam N.
