===== From chipr@niestu.com: I hate to say this, but I liked one of the test images you posted on the web back in March a lot better than this one. That scene was just the table, with the dough and the cookie cutter and some cutouts. In the final scene, you've added all sorts of garnish. And while the garnish is very nicely done, I remember the other scene I saw, and what an impact it had on me. One of the biggest changes is that the original cut-outs were all identical, and colorless; these new ones are colorful, in different poses, and all have their own personality. Much of the point seems to have been lost. Still, this is a pretty scene, with lots of good elements, and I'm still giving it high marks. I just miss what you might have done. ===== From jsaxton@folio.com: I'm glad you provided a description, because it was not readily apparent what the image had to do with the theme. I gave you a relatively high mark for interpretation of theme. ===== From charlie495@aol.com: Nice joke, but I shouldn't have to read the text file to get it. Shadows of the frame also ruin the effect to some extent. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: I like the original insight into the topic. It has certainly come a long way from the preview image you first displayed a couple of months ago. My only real complaint would be with the frame of rings; they're ok but their shadow on the ground detracts somewhat from the overall effect IMHO. ^"^ ===== From ucoakc00@mcl.ucsb.edu: Great idea. I like atmosphere. The back right seems a bit too vacant ===== From amarok@geocities.com: Maybe you should have used no_shadow for the border object? ===== From bill.marrs@pureatria.com: I really like the cookie-cutter idea! ===== From tholal@bga.com: Excellent picture all around. Good concept. ===== From eallen@highway1.com: I prefer this idea to classroom/apple any day. ===== From jjanger@mail.cspp.edu: ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Interesting interpretation of the topic! ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: I like this image - it's quite different from the earlier versions I'd seen of it when it was still a "work in progress". I like how the cookie-cutter students aren't all in the same position. The shaggy tree is nice. Your sky texture is good, through the underlying gradation looks like it's running the wrong way around; skies tend to be darker at the apex at lighter near the horizon. The shadow cast by that circles-of-wood frame is a bit distracting, though the frame is nicely reminiscent of the fancy border printed on manu certificates. ===== From jlb36@cornell.edu: The border is very nice. The frame adds a nice touch. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: strange imagination... Jaime (jaime@ctav.es)
