===== From chipr@niestu.com: Nice bell. Good color, good detail, nice use of reflection. The extra-wide format was a bit distracting. Nice slant on the topic, though. ===== From mmandl@aol.com: your logo is distracting from the artistic merit. I liked your bell and its reflections. ===== From charlie495@aol.com: WOW! One of the few truly photorealistic images I've seen. Just watch the artifacts in the shadows. (Even if you were trying to create the effect, it looks bad. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: I always like attention to detail. ===== From ucoakc00@mcl.ucsb.edu: I think the perspective is the nicest thing about this image. Your text file is very complete. ===== From amarok@geocities.com: At first I thought: "Boring!". Then I read the text and looked closer at the reflections - it's brilliant! The wall is still boring, though... ===== From bill.marrs@pureatria.com: Details like the reflection in the bell make this image a winner. The big border and signature do take away from the image though... ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: ringing, somehow (motion blur?). ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: I really like the fact that the majority of the objects in the scene are seen only in the reflection on the bell. That *is* a nice idea. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Your bell is an EXCELLANT example of how out-of-view objects add to the reality of the rendered item. Being able to pick out the reflections of the ceiling, lights, windows, blackboard, etc. in the surface of the bell really makes this otherwise simple scene come to life. I really liked the wire-and-staple, BTW, a very nice touch. I wish anyone who decides to just render a single object would first take a look at your bell as a fine example of what SHOULD be done. ===== From jlb36@cornell.edu: Ditch the light blue border on the top an bottom; it detracts from the image. You do not *have* to render the image at 800x600, it is just a suggestion, and I think that having different dimensions (thinner) would make the composition better. All in all though, it is a very creative interpretation. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Buena Idea! Y bien realizada. Pero, y el tornillo de la derecha? P.D.: Hubiera preferido la imagen a pantalla completa. Jaime (jaime@ctav.es)
