===== From chipr@niestu.com: Very reminiscent of wee morning hours. Looks nothing like my old computer lab, but the overall feeling is the same. ===== From mmandl@aol.com: far cry from my days in the "lab"! ===== From jsaxton@folio.com: 'tis good. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: Easy to see that a lot of hard work went into this one. I like the effect with the monitor lighting. ===== From ucoakc00@mcl.ucsb.edu: It's complete ===== From amarok@geocities.com: Good use of the height_fields, but I think you should have placed the computers more differently. They look pretty much in line, even though you used rand. ===== From lowellr@globaldialog.com: So you really want the CD this time, huh ? You have a good shot at it. ===== From bill.marrs@pureatria.com: Sonya, Get out of my brain! (my college lab was just like this, and being there at 3am was an often joked about thing) ===== From tholal@bga.com: Its abvious how much loving care you give each your pictures. ===== From klynn@minn.net: Bet everyone fights over the good chair. ===== From quinet@gamers.org: Good modeling and lots of good ideas in the scene. Lots of details too, and I love that. But why is it so dark? Even in a room with lights turned off, the computer screens would make the whole room much brighter. It could have been the best image (IMHO) if it was not so dark. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Nice! I especially like the multiple chair models, and the fact that you avoided that sterile "plastic" look. ===== From no13@ozemail.com.au: The amount of detail is incredible. ===== From jlb36@cornell.edu: Four words: "Been there, done that." While the image is *very* good as it is, there are a few things that could be fixed. First, it is too dark/washed out. All the labs that I have been in here at school are either very well lit, or fairly dark overall, but with a fair amount of contrast for some things (like the glow of the monitors). So, I think that either the whole thing could be brightened, or turn down all of the "room" lights, and make the screens' glow more noticeable (pump up the contrast!). Second, you describe a lot of details in varous places, like the logos on the computers, the images on the screen, and the TV in the background, but the image is really too grainy to see them in much detail. The computer logo, for example, it completely unreadable... The pot lamps are a nice touch, as are the pizza boxes. Now, how about grease stains? ;) And BTW, Quake or Subspace tends to be the poison of choice here, though I've herard good things about Heretic... Very well done. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice idea. Great detail level. Perhaps needs less ambient light and more bright in screens? Jaime (jaime@ctav.es) ===== From ptdawson@voicenet.com: What I like: #include "three-am.txt" (Everything is fantastic!) Wow!
