===== From agage@mines.edu: Interesting image overall; though I half expect to see snowflakes in the sphere with the gasket :) ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Why not using raw triangles to make such a surface? The part I preffer is the distortion over the surface. The flare is light enough to be credible: nice! I am not a fan of your marble-plastic-wood texture... ===== From libelle@webbwerks.com: Nice image, but the lens flares are a bit distracting. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Very nice. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Effective use of fog and lens flare effects. Really looks like a crystal ball. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: The Gasket shows a high degree of complexity and planning, so I gave this piece high marks for technical, but I felt the textures were fairly simple and this detracted from the overall artistic value. No doubt, however, this is attributable to the time constraints of having to finish by a deadline. Still, it's a shame to see a nice GFORGE'd height_field with a plain green texture, and the wood pattern on the table was highly surreal looking. ===== From alex@astro.queensu.ca: love the way the glass ball affects the image. ===== From warwick@troll.no: Your world isn't big enough - it looks strange to see the edges in the globe. ===== From SSchanevil@aol.com: I particularly like the hills. What is Gforge? ===== From marvil@algonet.se: I like the way the triangles look. It looks like metal-textured plastic. It's fun that the refraction of the hills and the sky is upside down in the ball. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Wow! ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Interesting idea.
