===== From MMandl@aol.com: the problem is the artistic merit which has to be also considered. ===== From agage@mines.edu: Nice prismic effect. ===== From jjanger@mail.cspp.edu: I can't see anything... ===== From tlyons@gnn.com: needs more background ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Cheating with lighting can be very useful! ===== From cfusner@enter.net: This image is too dark. I know, I know. That was, to an extent the intention, and I note you mention losing some of interesting points with the loss of the light source. Here's a suggestion on that score: You were on the right track with having a dim light_source above to provide at least some illumination. The problem, I expect, was the unwanted shadows cast by a light_source located where a light_source normally would be. In attempting to emulate diffuse lighting, therefore it is best to add the keyword "shadowless" to such a light source, making it what it called a "fill" light. Same illumination value, but no shadows computed from that light_source. ===== From alex@astro.queensu.ca: not very interesting, way too simple
