HARDWARE USED: Digital 100MHZ Pentium with 24MB RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Newton's perpetual motion machine gone very wrong! I took an old idea of mine and added a twist. I've always enjoyed the five ball model demonstrating perpetual motion. But, to spruce it up, I took the thought of what would happen if it didn't work to its extreme! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This image is actually quite simple -- as you can see from the source. A frame with repeating ball and brace structures. The explosion and shooting flame (my wife's idea) are halo's rendered in a sphere and cone (cylinder mapping). I had to remember to make everything hollow! The exploding ball is transparent to a degree to add to the effect of the ball vaporizing. Enjoy! Steven
