JPGFILE: orbiter.jpg RENDERER USED: Povray 3.0 for Windows as a preview and Povray 3.0 for Linux as the final renderer. TOOLS USED: Moray 2.5 RENDER TIME: 11 minutes and 31 seconds HARDWARE USED: Pentium 90, 16 megs ram, ATI Mach 64 visual card IMAGE DESCRIPTION: This image is a picture of a sattelite orbiting a earthlike planet, with one of the earthlike planet's moons of in the distance. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: My first step was to create the sattelite. I did this in Moray 2.5 by assembling solid primitives into a sattellite like object and refining it from there. The planet is just a big sphere with a layered texture. I used the sky texture in the bicubic patch demo for the top layer of the texture and then made a green and blue lower layer. The moon is another sphere with the T_Stone13 texture with a different finish and bumps. The stars in the background are a modified version of the Starfield1 pattern in "stars.inc".
