JPGFILE: pihenge.jpg RENDERER USED: Bryce 2 TOOLS USED: Photoshop 3 RENDER TIME: HARDWARE USED: IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The Pi symbol reminded me of the central rock formations of Stonehenge, and I imagined a prehistoric monument to the mystery of this magical number... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The Pi symbols and the numbers were created in Photoshop 3 with the text tool and saved as tiff images. They were imported into Bryce as symmetrical lattice objects and given a stoney texture. The numbers are the first 21 decimal digits of pi, and are placed in a circle facing in towards the central pi shapes. True to the original monument, there are five central pi's, with the center one larger than the others. Add some rolling hills and water, and viola!
