TITLE: The Hood COUNTRY: South Africa WEBPAGE: www.geocities.com/siliconvalley/vista/1457/index.htm RENDERER USED: PovRay v3.0 TOOLS USED: Moray v2.5b, Chris Colefax's Lens Flare utility, Blob Sculptor v2.0a & PhotoShop for insertion of name. RENDER TIME: 50 mins 5 s HARDWARE USED: 486 DX-2 66, 8Mb Ram IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A hooded Cleric makes his way over a snow covered HILL(tm) towards the light. He doesn't notice how steep THE HILL(tm) actually is, and this image is the last we see of him before he plummets, screaming to a very unsightly death. ( Ha Ha etc.) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is my first submission to the IRTC. The Hooded man is made up of three bezier patches, 1 sheet for the head & 2 cylindrical patches for the body & arm. The hand & staff are just plain Blob objects. There are 2 height fields for the spire & THE HILL(tm). I modified a sky from SKIES.INC, which comes with POVRAY, for the SKY_SPHERE. The Cheap Looking vase type thing which is meant to be levitating the Sphere type light thing is a MORAY RotatSwp object (triangle mesh). Lastly, the light is a reflective sphere, with Chris Colefax's Lens Flare stuck on it.
