===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Interesting concept. The sky is nice, but the texture on the hills needs work. ===== From bill.marrs@pureatria.com: The best part is that "Chip Richards" in with all the other logos, as the artists recognizes his own role as advertisement/sponsor/self promoter/etc... ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice and Ironic Concept! But the ground is (as you say) not much convincing... ===== From lowellr@globaldialog.com: Your pic didn't come out half bad for all your complaints. I like your idea and did one this comp. blasting TV's ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: A "high concept" image, although cynical. Nice touch on the scaffolding behind each letter. I like the way the shadows follow the contours of the terrain -- adds lots of realism. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Running the IRTC is a tough job! BTW, your idea is quite interesting! ===== From MMandl@aol.com: The scaffolding is very important to the image and i'm glad its there. unfortunalely the landscape is blury. i tried several veiwers hoping........... glad to see your image though. ===== From dick@buckosoft.com: blasphemer. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: quite boring image, but I gave extra boni for writing custom shaders. I'd like to see more BMRT entries. ===== From i_emackay@mountains.net.au: The idea is OK but objects are too "primitive" and lighting too "raw". ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Great idea! The logos don't really look sprayed, even if they are blurred. Perhaps you should have added a small amount of turbulence as well? ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: I really like the concept of this image. Not everyone has a preference for this kind of image, and neither do i. But I can still appreciate it in it's own right. :{) Room for improvement: 1) The texture of the hill looks a little blurred and pixelated. 2) The supports behind the letters. I know you spent a lot of time on them. It wasn't a waste of time though. While they could still use some work, the image would have definately lost something if you hadn't included them. 3) The depth of the letters is hard to judge. Most of them appear paper thin (although I'm sure they're not). Maybe find a way to adjust the shading along the edges of the letters? 4) The top edge of the hill is a little too sharp-edged. Or, at least it appears that way. Not sure what to suggest to counter that though. Once again. A wonderful image. :{) ===== From msfl.bf@fasonet.bf: Very brave image, after this huge thread about copyright in the IRTC-mailing list ;) ===== From ptdawson@voicenet.com: That's an interesting little squiggle on the "h". ;-) ===== From web_user@flex058.dijkgraaf.wau.nl: Wow! A lawyers' paradise *grinning while thinking of the irtc-l copyright threads*. I like he idea behind it but it will take more than this image to make me have a look at RenderMan I'm afraid. ===== From r@dialup83.webbernet.net>: For the true hollywood spirit, you should contact these companies and ask for product placement fees! In my top ten. Notable for originality
