===== From bill.marrs@pureatria.com: very nice ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Loved the idea too much, but I must disagree with some colors, they are too unrealistic : the "yellow" sand and the strange "yellow-sun"/"brown-sky" contrast. Otherwise, the modelling is well done, and the view point too. ===== From 93johnst@scar.utoronto.ca: The image seems a little bright. Toning down the colors should add realism as well as atmosphere to the image. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: I like the split-screen effect. Nice way to show the difference between the imaginary and real. All of the colors are too bright and unreal. The sun is too big, too yellow, too cliched. Where is the saloon sign shadow coming from? I like the wood texture on the saloon facade, and the detail on the equipment. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: This was nearly done! Many good principles here, as described. Unfortunately, your ground is really yellow, and there's a problem with your wooden textures. I think it comes both from the scale of the texture and from the fact that there should be a small gap between each wooden part, to underline the limits, or else you should try to use different mixed woods, to see the limits between them. Anyway the idea was very good! ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Although we can see the setting sun, the scene seems to be lit from somewhere else. ===== From i_emackay@mountains.net.au: I liked the idea but the image is too stark for my taste. The "straight-on" camera angle does not usually make a good composition. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: Nice image. :{) If I could offer a few comments: 1) The sherrif's door looked a little odd. I zoomed in on it and it looks like it's two superellipsoids on top of each other. Am I right? Anyhow, it looks odd somehow. 2) There's something blue hanging out the window near the sherrif's door, but it's hard to make it out. 3) I really like the wood texture on the building shell to the right, but it's hard to distinguish the individual planks. Maybe if you'd used superellipsoids, or slightly warped boards by differencing some scaled spheres of something. Just a suggestion. :{) 4) The sunset sky had a bit too much violet in it for me. But, that may have been my viewer (Adobe PS 4, win '95, High Color, 800X600 display). ===== From ptdawson@voicenet.com: Great scene, with lots of little details. ===== From r@dialup83.webbernet.net>: Notable for composition
