I don't have seen the original characters, but the scene is very cartoonlike,
and I could easily imagine them. Very nice use of blur and light. Beatiful
taste on colors and textures. And the point of view and camera setup is really
amazing. Good luck! (even if you don't need it!)

I realy like this image, but had a hard time fitting it into the theme, simply 
because I am not familiar with the "entertainment" program to which the scene 
is alluding. I felt there was a bit too much focal blur used. If you'd toned it

down a touch or two, I think it would have helped. I noticed you repeated the 
exact same pattern section on each wood plank. If you'd trans'd/rotated the 
pattern a bit for each plank, it would have come off better. The only other 
piece of advice would be to color the eyes on the penguin a bit so folks could
see them.

I think that the focal blur is a bit too much.
The rug texture is well made. The wood one as well, but could have gained in
realism if the wood wouldn't have the same grain in every plank.
