===== From djconnel@flash.net: I like this image! Unfortunately, the engineering "greatness" of the subject isn't stressed -- the structure isn't revolutionary in any way. The addition of the crystal Thinker is quite a nice touch... very well done, it stresses the intellectual aspects of the structure. ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: I think the attempt to make it less "real" has pushed it into the "WHAZIT" realm instead. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: I like the modelling of the metal structure itself, but the remainder of the image fails to meet the same standards of quality. The rippled posted seems to be particularly poorly modelled. I understand that you were trying to achieve an "artificial" look, but think you could have gotten better results with a more reaslistic sky, something interesting off-screen to reflect in the pipes, etc. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Nice image, requires too much explanation from the text file. The human figure serves more as a distraction than an enhancement, though it is pretty. The design and perspective are very nice. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Unusual image. Good artistry. Background? ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Okay but the image does not really speak for itself. The glass 'thinker' is very good. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: I really do wonder what might take a fast scanline renderer on a fast machine more than 4 hours to render such a simple image, which mainly consists of background. Proper settings would have done in it 4 minutes, I guess. With that much reflection a raytracer is a lot faster, even on slower machines. From lpurple@netcom.com: The banner could use some more antialiasing; but the rest of the image is great. ===== From r@dial-up35.webbernet.net>: Interesting study in lines. The statue, besides having a fascinating texture, presents a nice and needed organic contrast. Why is the poster in Japanese?
