===== From agage@mines.edu: Nice mood, very good modelling, excellent lighting. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Irregular shapes in wood earn you a high technical merit score! ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Very good lighting, I love the halo of the lamp in the top-left part! Very good models and textures, too. Since I have to complain about something I'll mention the windows of the far buildings in the background. I think they would look more interesting if they weren't just one-coloured. It's still a very good image. ===== From jjanger@mail.cspp.edu: Fantastic lighting and texture work. ===== From sanna@censa3.polito.it: A simple but very good scene. I like the modeling of the steam in the lower right corner ===== From dormammu@erols.com: Excellent picture. I love the fence texture. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Another great image Jaime! The lighting in this one is especially good, I also liked the brick texture. ===== From m-kolb@uiuc.edu: Excellent. Flawless victory. meekay ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: A marvellous image. Loved the fence and the other textures. Very realistic. A very minor criticism which does not affect our scores:- The moon is justifiable for the artistic effect but too large to be realistic. Very well done! ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Fine image, as usual, Jaime. Great textures, especially on the fence, brick wall, and trash cans. The areas around the trash cans are very realistic -- like a photograph. I wish the (not so detailed) background was more out-of-focus, blurry. A tiny flaw: painted traffic symbols seem to be too thick -- they have shadows. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Brilliant!!! It is interesting how quality images just completely set themselves above the competition and, like your last few entries (including the excellent Travesio (sp?)), this is clearly a top-quality image. There is no question this is a worthy winner -- it has a depth and color rarely seen in traces. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: The textures and lighting are striking. I especially liked the wooden fence in the background. ===== From r@dial-up30.webbernet.net: Excellent detail. The chipped paint on the traffic sign, the damaged hotel sign, the trash in the alley, the 3D bricks.... It isn't that I like decay and damage - the irregularities are key to the experience of realism. The play of light and shadow is very good. I really like that fence. It is interesting how the skyscraper lights in the background almost merge into the stars. My only little complaint is that the half moon seems to be cut off. The shadowed part should be semivisible, at least as an outline. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
