===== From cmorack@relex.com: Is that the Earth in the background, or is your moon bashful? ===== From agage@mines.edu: Interesting, and more original than the lake scene you thought about If that's the earth in the background though, I have to wonder what other nearby planets have enough of an atmosphere to support a campfire :) ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: What does man in lower left have to do with your scene? ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: It's a good idea, but the image on the ground looks a bit blurred, and the bright logo distracts from the image. ===== From jjanger@mail.cspp.edu: Why does the Earth have distinct edges? Like as in a hexagon type shape? ===== From sanna@censa3.polito.it: A very artistic and original scene. Unfortunately, the model of the earth is quite bad. ===== From dormammu@erols.com: The fire doesn't look entirely realistic, but otherwise the picture is very nice.. especially the earth-looking object in the sky ===== From karl@pemail.net: Two main things stick out - the object in the sky appears to be the earth ! and the logs in the fire are too regular. Just making them slightly different lengths / widths would make all the difference ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Good idea. Is the camp fire on the moon? Looks like the earth up in the sky! ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Rather strange concept. It's a good start. The symmetry of the logs in the campfire bother me: they are too similar. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: One of the drawbacks I've found with 3DS is it's use of imagemaps. This is quite evident in the image map used for the ground. The shadows and lighting give it a flat feeling that does not jive with the scene. On the whole though, it's an admirable first attempt. :{) ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nice use of the Earth in the sky! I am not sure what to make of the fire, but then if it isn't the Earth, I don't know how they should look.... Still, who made the fire? Where are they? With some more work, this could be a very effective scene. ===== From r@du13-251.ppp.algonet.se: Hmm... ===== From r@dial-up30.webbernet.net: Clever concept. The fire logs are too regular and the fire needs more detail. Some smoke would be good, too. Promising first entry. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
