===== From castlewrks@aol.com: Higher contrasts between light and darkness. Image appears to be lit by a dim overall light instead of the flares, site and gunship fire. Notice how the back of the sandbags is lite... that fellow would have been a dead man with that much light behind his position. ===== From agage@mines.edu: The samdbags could use a surface normal to make them rougher... ===== From dormammu@erols.com: Very nicely done. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: The green glow on his ear was a nice touch ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Flares, landscape and copter are good. The wall looks very bulletproof. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Nice subtle lighting, colors, and composition. Unusual sky texture is very effective here. They had Cobras in '67? The sandbags seem too regular and identical to each other. Otherwise a realistic, intense scene. Quite well done. ===== From uwe.post@gmx.de: good idea. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Ouch.... the flares make for an errie scene. The coke can is a nice touch of irony. The major room for improvement I see is with the texturing. Also, the lighting seems a bit flat. But I really like the general subject... it is quite a strong image. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: Very deep choice of subject for the image. Reaches beyond the ordinary in interpretation of theme. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: A vacation? Hmmm. But you managed to come back and do this picture :-) . ===== From r@dial-up30.webbernet.net: The overall concept is good. The jungle works well. As is common with Poser figures, the soldier is much too stiff. The sandbags(?) are too regular. The design idea behind the flares is good, but I find the result somewhat disappointing.
