===== From cmorack@relex.com: Top top three worthy here. ===== From agage@mines.edu: Nice level of detail. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Hmmm... Great! The twon its very nice, with non regular streets and different buildings. Amazing details. The only BUT is the moon. SOrry, but it looks very flat when compared whith the rest of the superb scene. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Great scene, clearly in the top of this round. + Very good details, the street in the middle is great. The sculpture is good, I like the graffiti on its base. Very good concept, too. - The halo on the moon is too sharp, and the moon looks distorted. Use a smaller camera angle. ===== From jjanger@mail.cspp.edu: I love this image. It's detailed, interesting and contains all the right elememnts to keep the eye looking. ===== From sanna@censa3.polito.it: An impressive use of illumination and a great interpretation of theme. Stars annd moon models can be improved. ===== From karl@pemail.net: I've noticed another "living shadow" Top left of the picture there appears to (me) to be a man with a yellow face, grey hat, wearing black climbing out of the window ! ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Most unusual. Very clever. Good composition. (loved the cat in the window). ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: This is amazing! Great atmosphere. I like everything about this scene. The theme, the modelling, the textures, and especially the composition -- the way light is used to produce a completely unexpected circumstance. Every time I look at the image, I discover something new, such as the cat in the window. This is raytracing at its finest. My only complaints: many of the rooms have too-bright colors, and the haze around the moon is too sharp. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nicely done! The cobbles and bricks are very nice -- the cobbles especially. The concept is also quite good -- the use of shadow and the touch with the eyes are effective and original. The sky could use a little work, however. The moon, especially... the stars are also too dense for the setting, and become almost indistinguishable from clouds... unless those are clouds, in which case they are too bright. Still -- I am being picky -- the rest of the scene is very solid, and well modelled (the lego technique is one I need to remember!) Note there is a floating tree fragment in the upper left. Dan ===== From econoltd@thezone.net: I still laugh every time I see this one! I like what you did with the shadow :) ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: I like the sculpture and shadow (and the whole town scene, for that matter). ===== From r@client876c.globalnet.co.uk: Notable for composition, modelling ===== From r@client836b.globalnet.co.uk: Notable for composition, modelling, lighting ===== From r@dial-up30.webbernet.net: Outstanding. Exceptional even in a round with many strong pictures. The mark of brilliance is in the details. The cat in the window. The variety of lintels. "Povray Street". The beautiful trees. The concept and the technique for executing it were inspired. Minor problems: Some branches got loose from the taller tree and, in isolation. look wrong. The halo around the moon is too round. It needs a bit of turbulence to look natural. The shape of the water puddles is good, but the texture is just a bit off in my opinion. I wouldn't even mention these, but you have to hold a masterpiece to a higher standard than other pictures. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
