===== From spanky@wpi.edu: I'm very impressed with your otter model and texturing. This scene would have been even better at a lower camera angle including some more background. ===== From rotht@televar.com: Cute :-P ===== From mikko.oksalahti@dosetek.varian.com: Excellent choice of colors and a very good feeling of water. The otter's expression and face are also wonderful. I would have added some reflection to the water surface but the image is great even without it. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Good shadows, expression on otter's face. Nice watery look. Caustics on creek bed could be improved. ===== From dale@midnightgarden.com: Beautiful. ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: great model + photorealistic textures + great water - cheesy perspective ===== From marc_w@ncx.com: stunning! ===== From mmandl@aol.com: This is such a fine image. I took points off for its size and really wished it were full size. ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Good picture--a nice feeling of freedom associated with it. The caustics in the water add a great effect, and the bubbles lend depth and credibility. You might try adding some more texture to the otter, though. It looks too much like a cardboard cut-out pasted into the scene. Perhaps some kind of bump-map would work? Excellently modelled, tho. The face especially is well done. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: :o Seriously, I was very impressed at first look. Reading the txt not aided to exit from the "shock". I retuned to the pic again and tried to find something to make criticism, but it's hard. The riverbed (sounds nice) it's right, the stones are well modelled and very nicely textured. The otter it's superb, has a funny expresion looking at the camera. The bubbles, fantastic, specially their placement, which gives "motion" to the otter. The water is perfectly colored, with just the normal needed. The only thing that I find to comment is the lack of reflection on the water, it would be very nice to see some reflections of the sky and the supposed trees/brushes (but I looked hard to find that criticism). ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nice job! You should have used full 800x600, though. The water is excellent. The otter is good, but looks a bit flat to me ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: great causitics! That's the best otter I've beaver seen! ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Very nice and effective. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Very cute and lively. Fresh overall. Great title, too ! Why not full 800*600 ? With 30 min rendering, you could have afforded it. ===== From fisher2@pobox.upenn.edu: The water is especially nice. Very realistic. I would have liked to see the texture of the otter's fur stand out more. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: Very nice image. :{) I can't tell if that's a leg or a tail trailing out behind the otter though. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: I love the title! This scene rocks. Water you waiting for? You otter enter it into the IRTC! Great realism all over. ===== From no13@ozemail.com.au: Top marks for this one. ===== From r@199.45.245.103: Nice work. Well modeled, well textured. My one thought- its not totally clear whether the camera is in the water. Perhaps if you added a sky, and made the water slightly reflective.
