===== From rotht@televar.com: Nice sun-glare effect. ===== From mikko.oksalahti@dosetek.varian.com: Divine. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Nice tree & lighting. Grass is just OK. ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: less is more :-) I like this image. I think that the sun rays are a nice touch, but maybe they should extend behind the tree as well, giving it a complete aura rather than just a crown of light. The roots are a bit too fat for the rest of the tree. ===== From simon.davis@altavista.net: A bit of front-lighting so that the tree can be properly seen would improve it. A great tree model (from the sillouette). ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Nice image! The tree's textures look very good, and the foliage looks nice too, if pretty sparse. The flare from above gives it a very "heavenly choirs" feel. The surroundings are pretty bland, tho...I'm sure that was your intent, but something more would sure add a bit more "flavor" to the scene. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: IRTC is good for starting with a first proyect, I know that. And you started very good! Nice tree, and excellent lighting. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nice idea! The tree isn't bad, but as it is basically the sole element of the image, it should receive extra attention. The branches look too segmented, and the bark could use more creative texturing. Additionally, the grass needs more work. Overall, though, the scene is quite well done, and has a lot of potential! ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: I love the sun rays, very striking. interesting image.. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Holy. And gnarly. ===== From r@199.45.245.103: Nice first attempt. The flare works pretty well, as does the tree. I think more leaves would help, tho. The ground doesn't really work. Perhaps you could cut the ground out entirely, and do a shot from down low, looking up at the sun through the branches.
