===== From spanky@wpi.edu: Bad monkey, die now. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Canyon has realistic depth. ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... splat! good feeling of depth with the fog. the wooden monkey might like to have some fur to dress up in (ook) ===== From ewgr@abaddon.globalnet.co.uk: Poor monkey... how sad. ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Clever. I esp. like the ants. The perspective is a bit comfusing, though. It took me a while to realize that we're looking at the monkey from above... (at least, I hope that is the correct interpretation). Also, the branches seem to have broken pretty cleanly...some randomness on the ends would enhance the realism. Very nice! ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Funny subject, with a very nice point of view. Great work! ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This is a VERY striking (and disturbing) image! You have done a very nice job with the perspective, the composition, the modeling, and the theme. The one room for improvement is the texturing -- the monkey, for example, appears hairless... the branch appears to have a skin, not a bark... Still, the scene is excellent. It is certainly a contender for top place. The ants are an excellent touch. ===== From moren@condesign.se: Fy fan va snyggt !! Hur kul som helst ! :-) Bra jobbat Espen ! Ha det bra i San Fransisco ! Ses n_sta sommar... /3D-Studio Gurun ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: good sense of action in this scene, odd angle though ===== From fisher2@pobox.upenn.edu: It's a pretty cool picture (kind of disturbing though). I took a point off the tech score since the texture on the monkey looks too much like it's made of wood. Nice job otherwise. The ants carrying the leaves is a nice touch. I didn't notice them the first time. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: Nice touch with the ants on the tree limb. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good concept, and full of action, but the camera viewpoint is maybe too strange for me. Interesting details, like the ants on the tree branch. The monkey looks like he's carved out of wood. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Poor monkey! I hardly noticed the ants at first - good detail :-) . ===== From r@199.45.245.103: Not bad. The monkey looks a little wooden, and the composition makes it unclear if the camera is above or below him. As a side note, is a scanline-based image a valid entrant? This is the iRtc, after all.
