===== From spanky@wpi.edu: Nice blob work :) ===== From mikko.oksalahti@dosetek.varian.com: Excellent balanced composition and sound implementing. Reminds me of some french sci-fi comics. The enviromental idea is good but I don't associate the blue water blob with something dirty and negative. Maybe if it would have been oil the message would be more clear. Or maybe its just me who doesn't get the point. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Water drops are beautiful ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: gory... i like it! i wouldn't mind hanging this on my wall. ===== From stubbs@dundee.net: very striking image ===== From falcompsx@earthlink.net: I like the picture, but it is a bit hard to understand what it is by looking at it. ===== From mmandl@aol.com: Your image was on its side. I'm sure it lost a lot because of that. ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Nice textures, colors. Good job with the blobs. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Christophe : You have an amazing talent for surrealistic rendering! I really like this one. However: 1. it's sideways :) (Of course you realize this, but while the image on your web site makes excellent use of the vertical aspect, for this contest rotating the image isn't a good solution) 2. At first I thought the image wasn't topical, but after reading your description I see it is very topical. It's an extremely impressive work, suffering only for its lack of use of the 800x600 space. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Amazing surreal image. The way blood falls is great. Merci pour le torticolis, ouch.. Un bon point aussi pour l'encadrement sobre (contrairement _ la derniere fois). ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: One of the few entrants I've seen that could legitimately use an offset, or unusual image size/orientation. Very nice image. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Beautiful and delicate. Or is it revolting? Maybe both at the same time. I don't know whether to add points for daring to use a sideways image, or subtract them for the same reason! Good use of the title lettering, which makes no doubt about the orientation of the scene. This is pure raytraced artwork: difficult to achieve in any other medium.
