===== From spanky@wpi.edu: Great dino! You are right about the focal blur, and I like the sand too ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Nice, consistent feeling. Good detail. A scene every elementary school kid would love to see! ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: magnificent texturing... on the whole, however, the head seems a bit out of proportion. and where's the messy sticky stuff inside the egg? it looks too dry. ===== From ewgr@abaddon.globalnet.co.uk: You have every right to be proud of this, I can only find one fault... dare I mention it? There wouldn't be a yolk if the egg was hatching. ;-) ===== From manorton@tcnet.net: Good work dude. MANorton ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Excellent modelling. The dinosaur looks great, and great textures, too. Focal-blur adds a great deal of depth to the image. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice concept. COmposition is also very good, and focal blur is perfectly used. Perhaps the dino head is a bit big for that egg... ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Incredible!!! This is probably the 5th time I've taken a good look at this one and I am still impressed. If this one wins, it will be no surprise to me. The scene is alive -- the eyes and mouth are brilliantly done -- the thing looks ready for action! The texturing is skillfully done, the modeling excellent, the lighting just right. I am impressed. ===== From fisher2@pobox.upenn.edu: You should be proud. Very nice. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Wow. So nice. This is a great image. Very subtle colors and textures. I wish a claw was visible, and some cracks in the shell, but these are not essential to the dramatic impact of the scene. Particularly good use of focal blur: near and far objects are just slightly out of focus, convincing the viewer that this is a closeup of a small scene. Captures "Nature" perfectly.
