===== From gregj56590@aol.com: So you have metallic, mushrooms, yes? ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: too bad you got tired of it... it's lovely, has a nice fairy tale atmosphere and i can almost smell the forest and feel the wet mist clinging against my skin. lovely bark on the foreground trunk. ===== From stubbs@dundee.net: pretty scene and layed out well. nice colors. mushroom cap should be much less shiny- looks plastic ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Very nice. Height-fields for the grass is a good idea. Your tree trunk is fantastic! The grass blades seem pretty "thick" in some places...can't be helped with a height-field, perhaps, but it detracts from the picture where the grass is nearest the camera. The mushrooms are nice, too, but their specular value is perhaps a bit too high. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: The view is perhaps to close, but composition is nice. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This scene has a lot of really nice features: 1. The trunk is nicely done! With a little more texture to roughen the smooth sections, it would be quite effective. 2. The mist adds a lot to the background. 3. The shadow mask is a nice, subtle effect. 4. Nice bark on the background trees! Some comments: 1. The grass.... I realize grass is tough, but dirt & rocks & sticks would have worked here, as I have never seen dense grass in the woods. 2. The butterfly looks 2-d . 3. The mushrooms look plastic. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: nice mushrooms and trees, grass seems to rigid though ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Quite realistic tree trunks. Good soft lighting effect. Rich grass "carpet" seems out of place in a forest. How about least a few weeds? Nice mushrooms and butterfly, but is there a connection between them? A story? ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: That's what my grass should've looked like... and the bark... you might not be satisfied, but it looks good to me.
