I see from the IRTC mailing list that this wasn't meant to be all-black,

Entries like this ceased to be amusing many aeons ago, yet people still think it
terribly witty to enter a completely black image of a scene which wouldn't be
completely black anyway. This is just an attempt wind people up I suppose. The
copyright signiture didn't make it any funnier for me, I must say.
