The cyan dots are the air bubbles created by this intelligent mammal hitting the sea surface (FYI). DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The idea came after seeing a nature TV documental and a music video the same day. The documental was about the an Antartic camp, and the studies that cientific are doing about wild life and the capability of these animals to resist cold (some penguin jumping to the Antartic sea and staying underwater for 3-5 minutes). The music video was techno with computer generated graphics, including some dolphins. As I have few time (final exams) instead of modelling a dolphin with sPatch, I got the example file that come with wcvt2pov and cut one dolphin. Then I make the texture with PP5, based in a POV shot from the side of the triangle mesh, so I can use planar mapping without problems. With a decent texture ready, I started to place the dolphin, with a sea surface above and a sea ground below (logical, is not it?). In other TV documental I saw some divers playing with all kind of animals in a Caribbean sea, low depth and clear blue in near distances. I used the fog and faked caustics to add reality to the image, I think they look fine. To represent that the dolphin has just fallen from a jump I placed lots of bubbles using some rand loops. I know that the color is a bit strange, but from my experience (more TV ; ) subacuatic bubbles range from near clear to metallic color, passing by a lot of shades of blue. I used another camera to place my logo and do the final shot (original point of view was not attractive, as I discussed and aggreed with my sister). I used PP7 for the signature and conversion to jpeg.
