TITLE: Quick, Robin! To the Elementmobile! NAME: Bryan Spitz EMAIL: bryanspitz@geocities.com TOPIC: elements COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: bselecar.jpg ZIPFILE: bselecar.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray 3.0 TOOLS USED: Moray, Paint Shop Pro HARDWARE USED: Pentium 233, 32 megs RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: This summer I was really bored, so even a stupid idea like a fish driving a car seemed interesting. So I started making one. Then I realized it was pretty good, so I checked the IRTC topic. When I saw it was Elements, I realized I could incorporate the four classic elements (stone, fire, air, and water) into the picture. So I did. Most of the picture is easy to figure out, but you may not know where the air is. Those two funnel looking things on the side are tornadoes. No, I'm not nuts. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Most of my POV files is self-explanatory, as I put comments in, identifying everything. The only things you really need to know are: I used the Moray texture editor to create all the textures, which I then copied into POV-Ray. I also used Moray to create the fins for the fish using a bezier patch. I used Paint Shop Pro to create the simple image map for the road (the yellow lines).
