RENDER TIME: 45 mins 45 secs HARDWARE USED: Pentium 100, 16 meg memory IMAGE DESCRIPTION: All it really the image is really about is a hero trying to defend his castle from some magical bad guys ( the elementals ). The Earth and water elemental are combining both powers together to make the big watery/muddy glob thingy. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: THE BACKGROUND ( MOUNTAINS AND NIGHT ) I made the bakground by i) making a sphere with the moon's texture on it ii) made the stars by using a plugin that was executed through video post iii)saved this as a bitmap iii)made mountains and fog in bryce and used the above bitmap as background THE FOREGROUND ( guys and castle etc ) I made the foreground by i) used poser to make warrior + water chick + skeleton ii) made earth guy in rhino by deforming spheres iii) made earthy/watery globby thing in rhino by deforming a sphere iv) made castle with simple geometric shapes ie. cylinders, cones, boxes etc v) little torches around castle made with cylinders vi) all fire ( on skeleton, torches, fire ball ) made with combustion atmospheric effect vii) the tree was made with a plugin viii) the bright lights are actually lens flares ( the 2 bright green dots on the mountains come from the lens flare ) ix) ground was created with a quad patch x) path was created with a number of rectangular quad patches that are perpendicular to eachother xi) sword and shield was made with simple geometry xii) warrior's armour is just his cheast enlarged with a metal texture xiii) warriors skirt is just a rounded rectangular shaped loft copied many times and placed around him xiv) earth guy's eyes are simple geometry that has a glow applied to it through video post xv) most textures are mixtures with bumps ( mostly made by noise or a bitmap ) or bitmaps applied to the material or are from the Max Matter material library
