===== From scooby@pld.com: Beautiful. A singularly remarkable image. I love the lighting. The whole thing oozes MOOD! ===== From roth@ens.ascom.ch: Absolutely stunning! A real breath-taker! ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: I'm trusting you that this is not a photograph. The only flaw I found is the white signature in the top right corner. A bit distracting. Technical notes: 'nothing really complicated', but used perfectly. Scale, position, focal blur fog, clouds, light color, perspective. All your simple elements are perfectly aligned. This is an outstanding image. There is little relation to theme other than physical representation of the elements. So what, this one wins in my book. ===== From gmol@my-dejanews.com: The sky and water are wonderful ===== From wembly@theramp.net: I like this picture for some reason, maybe because it is realistic. And it does remind you of that time right after the rain. ===== From chris@68k.org: This really is a beautiful image, and one of my favorites this round. Same old interpretation of the elements, but spectacularly realised. The surrounding hills are especially nice. ===== From guilhem.christol@hol.fr: This picture are beautifull, poetic, romantism, IMPRESSIVE !!! Cette image doit absulument gagner !!! ( de plus tu es un fran_ais ! :) et comme je n' ai aucune chance ... Autant que _a soit un compatriote qui gagne ! :) ) ===== From skywise@fix.net: Excellent image, absolutely wonderful job... Best I've seen so far, though I've only viewed a small portion... ===== From gilles.levy@plume.fr: Tr_s belle composition...qui me fait penser _ une "nef encalmin_e" : serais-tu un chercheur de chouette ?! ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: A beautiful image. I think this would have done well in the nature round, two months ago. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Wow, it DOES look like it is just after the rain. Sublime power and serenity. Sky is maybe a little too black. Best "weather" theme interpretation in the competition. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Very nice composition and atmosphere. Did it really take 4 days to render?? ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Wow... this is a really striking image. Nicely done! This one is a worthy winner, to say the least... The only room for improvement I would cite is that it focuses on one of the elements, rather than on "elements". If this was submitted to the water round it would get a score even higher than the high score I am giving it here. The lighting is incredible. Dan ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Superbe! Les effects de surexposition/diffraction sont vraiment tres reussis! ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: A-ma-zing !! The best surprise for this round. I love everything : _almost_ black and white palette, the bell in the steeple (clocher !) inside the church, overexposed and backlit aspect, subtle use of depth-of-field,... Looks like an opening scene for an animation movie. I can hear the bell ringing ! Et c'est ta premiere image serieuse ?! Je t'en prie, fais en encore plein !! (allez, un reproche quand meme : le copyright est trop voyant) ===== From r@adids3.byk.de: Whoa!! That's great. I liked it as soon as I saw it. Looks more like an old photograph, and definitely not generated. Colors, lighting, athmosphere: nearly perfect. Perhaps the clouds are a bit too dark. ===== From r@dt027n86.maine.rr.com: The sunlight streaking through the clouds is nice but if you used a little more texture on the church and land it might add more intrest to the scene. But the softness and quality are both very good. Notable for lighting, textures ===== From r@client8788.globalnet.co.uk: Notable for lighting, composition
