===== From scooby@pld.com: Excellent concept. The earth in the ice cube is great. The modelling of the flame takes away from the rest of the image. ===== From roth@ens.ascom.ch: 'cept for the matche's texture (woodlines too close together) this picture is an absolute winner! ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: This is either a poster for a new movie, or an advertisement in a magazine. Very professional looking with the best match and flame I've ever seen. Beautiful. ===== From ewgr@abaddon.globalnet.co.uk: This is excellent. ===== From jsaxton@folio.com: Beautiful image, wonderful concept. Just one criticism -- the flame looks too solid at the tip. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: The modeling of the match stick is great. The colors of the flame are also good. Too bad the shape of the flame didn't come out better, the only real flaw. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Interesting perspective. Great wood on the match. Oh-so-perfect colors on the flame, but they end too abruptly at the top -- they should fade out smoothly. Too bad the image is truncated on both sides. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nicely done!!! All aspects of this scene are of high quality. The tip of the fire looks a bit solid -- it has no visible smooth transisition. But the general modeling of the flame and the match is really well done. The ice cube is excellent work. BTW, I am not a fan of images which don't use the full 800x600, as I think you deprive yourself of the opportunity to show detail with smaller images. Opinions differ on this subject, however. Also, the background could perhaps use some extra attention. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Interesting idea and attempt to make a flame... ===== From ekennedy@voyager.net: The burning part of the matchstick looks awesom. Good ice cube. The flame could be a little less blocky. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Hmmm, VERY original attempt to bring the 4 elements together in one image. I find nothing criticizable here, given the renderer you use. ===== From r@dt027n86.maine.rr.com: I really like this one the perspective is interesting and the theme shows a great deal of imagination. The only comment is that the flame on the match looks a bit solid but other than that a job well done. ===== From r@client8788.globalnet.co.uk: Notable for composition, originality
