A 'still which I am sure you know lent its name to many imitators, wether they were in near vicinity to the Livet or not. Casks come in many shapes and sizes, all have different names,- hogsheads, butts, puncheons They also all have metal hoops wrapped around their girth. I see from your .txt file you used a photograph. Unfortunately, this is such an important part of the scene a rendered landscape would have been better. The bottle is very nicely done! The cask is also well done -- the individual planks modeled instead of an agregate texture to "fake" them is a nice touch. Overall, it is nicely done, but the bright outdoor scene distracts from the interior view, and from the raytracing. The lighting is good, and the bottle modelling and label are well done. Obviously, the barrels and building need quite a bit of detailing. You need a clear shot glass to show off the whisky color (and enhance the "ad" theme). Perhaps some barley, as well. Incidentally, as to the barrels, if you consider oriental concepts, wood is considered an element. In some quarters, so is ice (the chilling). This comment by clem@dhol.com.
