===== From scooby@pld.com: Great concept and image. It would look much more realistic if some imperfections were added to the textures. (It appears that you are seeking photorealism.) ===== From roth@ens.ascom.ch: Very nice modelling job. Try a more interessting lightning. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: I like the 'modern alchemy' idea but I felt the entire scene to be sterile. Technically perfect objects, but aesthetically bland. I found myself trying to figure out what was printed on the computer screen rather than what was actually happening. I really like the oscilliscope! ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Why is the water in the sink so blue... the only flaw for me. There is a lot of very nice modeling here. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Lots and lots of precise detail. Light source seems to be directly next to the camera, giving the impression of a flash photograph. Very good effort. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Imaginative. Nice modelling & composition. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Wow -- I am impressed that 3DS is able to render this excellent image on a 486 in 7 minutes! This is a very nicely done piece of work! It addresses the theme extremely well, from the overall theme (gold synthesis) to the atomic representation and the periodic table, to the classical elements (water, fire, air, and earth). A few comments: 1. The flame needs some work -- it appears too solid 2. The book needs some work -- planar segments are visible. 3. The water appears to be blue syrup -- you might try a more transparent + reflective + refractive material. Still, this one is quite good! The lab scene is excellently assembled, with a wonderful dose of detail. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Good attention to details, imaginative modelling. Lightning is sad. Textures are sad too (but I suspect 3DS4 can't do much in that area). ===== From r@client8788.globalnet.co.uk: Notable for modelling
