===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: Darn, now I'm all thirsty. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Clever way to make the glowing/black portions of the neon tube. It looks quite realistic. I would like to see many more objects reflecting in the window: a streetscene. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This has a lot of promise, but needs more work. Too much of the image is basically empty. An interior view of a bar would do wonders. Plus, lighting from the sign should illuminate the surroundings -- at the least use a strong dose of radiosity. Still, I like your interpretation of the topic! ===== From ekennedy@voyager.net: Good transition from glowing to dark tubes. Wouldn't the shadows cast look a lot different though? ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: On a close look, I think you should have used merge instead of union for the lit elements. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Oh, you meant neon as an element; I tought it was beer ! (did you see the "Einstein Junior" movie ?) ===== From r@dial-up46.webbernet.net: Neon is an element. According to some, so is beer! Fair enough. The hint of reflection in the window is good, as is the blackened part of the sign. The shades are nicely modelled. I find their coloring plausible, but drab. The sign itself would be better if you had used smooth splines or csg tori, cylinders and spheres. The angular spots and the little artifacts are jarring. The main thing missing here is the light shed by the sign. Hard to do, I know. The best plan would probably have been to use radiosity to splash some red on the shades. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
